1. I am a bit lost on your question. May I know which ED module are you referring? Do you mean that you cant upload pbl files as attachment in the Komento's Comment or ED's comment? Perhaps it would be the best that you can show screenshot or video on how did you do it?

2. Unfortunately, it is impossible to do that at this point of time. I will log this into our issue tracker and see whether we can do something about it or not.

Currently, there is no setting to do that but you can copy item.php file which is at JoomlaFolder/components/com_easydiscuss/themes/wireframe/attachments/item.php and paste it at template override location which is at JoomlaFolder/templates/YourCurrentTemplate/html/com_easydiscuss/attachments/item.php. Then modify it.

In order to allow pbl file to attach, you need to insert pbl file extension into 'Allowed file extensions' which is at Backend > EasyDiscuss > Settings > Attachments > General. (Kindly refer the screenshot)

For your information, Komento does not support integration in EasyDiscuss's comment.
