How would I be able to create my own commands for points on EasySocial? I am looking to assign points to particulars answers in fields on the registration page.
Also is there a way to take the users points earned and average it out with all the other users' points who are place in the same field.
Hello Ashley,

To do this, you will need to add your own customizations or hacks and define your own point rules. You can refer to the guide here, http://docs.stackideas.com/developers/points/points

Following up Mark, have you thought about displaying points from apps in the leader board or would you expect this to be in the apps domain? What about an configurable leader board module that would allow the administrator to select which "points buckets" registered on behalf of the various apps and ES would be displayed in the module? Interested in whether you guys have thoughts in this area and I'll add to the user voice later on...

The idea is that apps could be tracking in ES and outside ES activities reported inside ES. There is value to the community members is seeing how each other did so it's a leader board for app-generated points and their categories. I've attached a screen shot that gives an idea of one scenario. It's an ES App that supports charitable fund-raising.The App tracks members actions and awards points as you can see.

The leader board would be different from the leader board for discussions and blogs in these respects:

1) It would allow points to be reported in a single category to which they were earned (or multiple categories). So for example such a "leader board module" could be configured by an administrator just to show the points each member earned when commenting on a blog.

2) It would be enable administrators to report on points earned by category as recorded by Apps in ES.

Hm, this looks like a really complex idea but it's do-able because each points assignment are linked from the source rule that is stored on the database
