I use two categories NEWS and PROJECTS. For the landingspage PROJECTS I want to use a two column layout. I found out I have to use the theme "Nickel".

The instructions for doing this is as follows:
You can create different theme folders in the folder /templates/isis/html/com_easyblog/themes/

I have put the complete "NICKEL" directory with all the files in the above directory. Not working.
I have put this also in [mytemplate} directory. Not working.

EasyBlog does not see this custom template / theme.

As I only want this layout for PROJECTS and not for NEWS, I am stuck. Any help appreciated (maybe a better instruction).
Hey there,

I modified the file /administrator/components/com_easyblog/views/categories/view.html.php Since you are customizing per category theme overrides, you should use css to adjust your post cover sizes

Hey there,

Hm, "isis" is actually the back end template and it shouldn't be asking you to place the overrides in the "isis" folder. It should actually be displaying a notice that requests you to place the theme folder into your current site's template folder.

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

If you place your site details under the "Site Details" tab, it will only be seen by me

Thanks Marc. Appreciate this really fast support.
What file(s) did you alter, as I am working on a local server (MAMP) right now and need this work there also ;-)

Extra question:
In Settings / Layout / Post Cover you can change the cover image sizes. But I found out this is for ALL categories? Is there a way to make the cover image LARGER for the Nickel theme, now used for category "projects"?
