Ask a question not working

Hi,

When I open the page with EasyDiscuss and then click the Ask a question (Dutch: Of stel een vraag) button, I simply return to the same page without the new discussion page showing up. But if for example I open an excisting discussion and then click the Ask a question button, I get a new empty discussion page as it is supposed to.

All site details can be found below.

Not sure if it is related but on the EasySocial page on my website the Load more stream items keeps on loading.

Hello Ewoud,

I had fix your issue, and it is working now *moderator dropdown etc.*. This error is non related to the 1st one and it is because the component is running 2 bootstrap.

Hello Ewoud,

Sorry for late reply to this,
It seems like work fine for me.
-> When i click the ask button as guest, it redirect to EasySocial registration page
-> When i click the ask button as registered user, it redirect to ask question page even click the ask button at single discussion entry page.
Am i missing something here? Please advise.

Late reply? You answered within 30 minutes

It looks like it was a browser cache problem. I thought I had already empty the cache but probably not.

But I still have the problem on the /community page with the loading of the stream item. Can you check at your end as well?

It seems like some javascript conflict, so I have checked in your 3rd party plugin -> System - RokBooster , when i tried to disable it then it work fine.

Aha, thanks for that. Another lesson learned .

Any idea what the path is of that javascript? Then I can exclude it in Rokbooster. Without Rokbooster enabled the site is significantly slower unfortunately. Up till now I find it difficult to find out stuff like that. So maybe if you know the path, and if you can tell me how you find out, then I hopefully can do it myself next time and also with other javascripts.

Hello Ewoud,

The reason your loadmore is not working is because rocket booster is mixing up the ordering of the JavaScript files. We had set your Scan Method to use Joomla Header Scan which fix the issue, have a try:D

Hi Khairul,

Unfortunately I discovered a few more small problems. Some other buttons are not working either. For example, if you open an excisting discussion, the buttons like Moderate, Delete, Mark as favorite, etc are not working either.

Can you please have a look?

I'm sorry for delayed of this reply, that was my mistake too
I have checked in your site, it seem like the Easydiscuss button also conflict with the rokbooster
I remember my colleague already help you solved the conflict with the rokbooster, but i have checked in your EasySocial loading stream item button also can't work, did you modify something before? Please advise.

You can check in this post what your colleague already did to solve the initial problem. This is what he said and changed:

Ps. I have now temporarily disabled Rokbooster so I can continue testing other stuff. But you can enable Rokbooster whenever you need to test yourself.

Sorry for the brief explanation, Bootstraps are framework where CSS and Javascrips are predefined. It is declaring twice thus conflict between the duplicates made the buttons dysfunctional. I'm glad that your issue is solved If you have any problems please don't hesitate to ask us.

Hello Ewoud,

Sorry for the late reply, I had missed your post earlier. You could achieve this easily by not combining the scrip using the settings in rokbooster plugin:
JavaScript Settings > Compress Scripts to no.
