We want the users to meet the ASK-module when they enter Easysdiscuss with the Q&A menu item set to "Ask a question layout"
We have the search module and my discussions module i a sidebar, If we set the menu item to "Ask a question layout" and search in the sidebar and clicks on one of the found discussions (or on one of the discussions under "my discussions", the discusson does not open. Instead it opens an empty "Ask a question"

Any ideas?
it seems like I do not have permission to login from your backend, this is what i hitting now :

Warning
You do not have access to the Administrator section of this site.

By the way, I would like to suggest do not use this menu alias 'discussions' for your ask menu page, because it might causing some conflict what you hitting now.

To fix this :

1. update this "Ask menu alias" to another name
2. change this SEO setting from backend > Easydiscuss > setting > search engine > choose this 'Use Menu ItemId Determined By EasyDiscuss' > save
3. Create a hidden menu item for Easydiscuss - frontpage layout.

I tried to do what you proposed, but could note create the hidden menu item for "frontpage layout"
All the other easydiscuss menu items was accepted, but "Frontpage layout" won't save.

However: I believe the renaming og the ask-alias seems to have fixed the problem :-)

Do I need the hidden frontpage-layout menu item??

OOPS. I was a bit hasty there. THere is still a problem. When I start typing a querstion in the ask-module and the module suggests some discussion - clicking one of the suggested discussions does not open that discussen - it just opens an empty ask.module :-(
So I need help.
I have granted sufficient rights to the user I provided initially, so you should be able to log into the backend.
Hope this can be fixed.

Hi there,

It seems that you dont have Easydisucss's frontpage menu item on your site and it is compulsory to have that menu item for routing whole Easydiscuss to your site. By the way, i have created that menu item for you on 'hidden' menu item as you can see here http://take.ms/uCMl8 and it should works as it should now.

Please give it a check and see how it goes

Thank you.
Tested all the scenarios I can think of this morning, and it works fine.
If I still need the Frontpage menu item, how do I get it?

Hi there,

I have created them for you and you should not required another menu item anymore. But if you wanted to show them on your site, you can edit those menu item i created at Backend>Menus>Hidden Menu and change it menu item as shown http://take.ms/RtOX3. You can edit those menu item based on your requirement(language etc).

Hope this helps
