Hi,

I would like people to share content (other than pictures) in an organised way in groups.
I saw the enclosed screenshot in easysocial presentation and would like to activate this feature. How can I do this?

Besides, if you have any other suggestion for sharing files in groups, I'm also interested.

Thank you,
Regards
Hi there,

Currently, you can enabled them as shown http://take.ms/1s5iN on your groups' categories respectively. Those items shared on your group, will be accessible accordingly. Please advice.

Hi,

It was already activated. When I get to my group I can only share files via the feed (see the screeshot).
In the screenshot I've sent you in the first post it seems that there is an archive area where we can consulte the exchanged files within the discussion. How can I get this?

Thank you,
Regards,
B

HI there,

Honestly, i am bit lost here actually. Did you meant those archive sections on your attached image? If yes, those image, are referred to conversations, and those conversations can be archive and etc.

Maybe i have understand you wrongly here, it would be best if you can explain more specifically regarding this issues. Please advice.

My initial need is to get an organize way of sharing documents within a group.
Sharing a document in the feed is not that organised because it will be hard to find after a while.

On the screenshot I saw the word "archive" which I thought was the list of the documents shared in a conversation.

What will you recommend me to use to improve the share of documents?

Hi there,

Oh, i understand them now, sorry for my confusion on above reply. Currently, in Easysocial 2.0.X version, for more structured way to access those items, you can access them here http://take.ms/IlIHx.

But, i would advice you to try Easysocial 2.1 instead, as we have done some major modifications on the interface, and it is more structured than Easysocia v2.0. Maybe you can try to install them on your staging site, or head to http://easysocial.org/ for some Easysocial v2.1 experiences.

Please advice.

I've just tried to update the version but it says: "As this is a major release, you are required to download the new launcher from our site at https://stackideas.com/dashboard and install it just like how you install EasySocial. Rest assured that your data will remain intact."

As a result I try to download the update but it gives me the following file "com_easysocial_launcher_pro_2.0.25_joomla" which is the same version I have today.

Is it just a naming mistake?

Hi there,

Currently, there are issues on our end regarding this, and we have fixed them on our end. Maybe you can try to re-download them again and see how it goes.
