Hey there,

happy new year!

I think that archivate like in 'settings -> stream -> archive' are meant to show the items no longer inside the scrolling stream. But the items are still there in case you got the direct link to each item. Is this right?

I see options to switch archive to 3/6/9/12/24 months, but I would like this to happen after 20 days. My members are crazy about getting points and therefor they fetch up all the old things. I think having the items archived would prevent this to happen, in case archive works like I think it works.

Probably in some file there is the options of 90/180/270/360/720 days? So I could manually put there a 20? Therefor I would need to know in which file I should start my search. Could not find anything related to 'archive'.
Hey Sabih,

When a stream item is archived, it won't be visible on the site any longer These data that are archived will be relocated to a different table altogether so that it wouldn't hit your MySQL database if the table get's extremely huge.

It's pretty common to reach a couple of million records in the stream table and let's face it, most shared hosting is definitely not optimized for such huge data even if our tables are properly indexed / optimized.
