My test user just created a new event and its currently hold for administration, I can see that event in the backend.

Question:
How can a frontend user approve the event, or did he need to login into the backend?
Currently that was not possible to approve event on frontend, you can try following method to approve event :

- Enabled "system email" from your site Event moderator user profile (screenshot : http://take.ms/ey3Rq ), so when the user submit a new event on your site, the system will send out an email address notify to your moderator, then they can approve/reject through the email.

Or

- Allow event moderator login from backend but only allow them able to access backend > Easysocial > event page (screenshot : http://take.ms/lJiRu ).

Ah thanks. An kind of "Admin Dashboard" for approving events on the fronted would be a great improvement then. I will log it here.

Backend works for us ... not that easy to explain the users that they need to use another link, but as a workaround until you added that option to the fronted it might work (I hope, we will see).
