Applications - News - Widget not displayed

I just created a new Announcement in a group and according to it's settings (Applications > Group — News) a widget should display the last 5 items in the sidebar. I have it turned on (Screenshot attached) but I do not see the widget anywhere.

Also, announcements are not added to the main site stream like group discussions are. They should be right?

The site access is still not working and where is the directory of your site if I am logged into SFTP?

By the way, ignore my previous post but I managed to login now using the credentials supplied on the other post but currently, I can't seem to modify any files on the site using sftp.

Hey Mark, sorry about this. Are you using WinSCP? If you are, go to Options > Preferences > Transfer and untick Preserve timestamp in the Common options section.
For some reason my server won't let you have this option turned on if you don't own the file you're editing.

I am using Transmit which is pretty similar to winSCP and I have turned this option off but I still hit the same errors. http://screencast.com/t/QDkEExx3h . If the ownership of the files and folders belongs to a different user, you need to provide me with the user to access to the site's files.
