In the EasySocial administrative settings there is an option General > Applications > Application Browser. With this set to no the "Browse" button is still visible on the frontend of the website in the left sidebar. Clicking the button results in a 404 error.

Hi James,

Thanks for reporting this issue, W've fixed the issue internally and the fix will be added into next release of EasySocial. For the quick fix, please download the attached default.php file and copy the file to folder 'JOOMLA/components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/profile/' and overwrite the existing 'default.php'.

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Thanks Sam, I don't necessarily need the fix immediately but upload it to check and see if it worked and on my end the Browse button is still there. Cache Cleared, etc...

This is being developed on a localhost install using MAMP

Thanks,
James

While fine tuning my Profiles I noticed the same option is in the Theme settings, once I disabled it there it now is not visible. I would think though that if you set it in the Master Settings it should carry on through the themes as well.

Hey James,

With the fix sam provided above, the browse apps button should no longer appear if the master settings is turned off. Which theme were you testing this on?

This is with the Frosty theme enabled.

Sorry for the late response.

Hi James,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. Can you download my attachment below and place it inside your /components/com_easysocial/themes/frosty/profile/ folder and see how it goes?

Hey James,

Try download my attached file and replace into Frosty theme profile file -> JoomlaFolder\components\com_easysocial\themes\frosty\profile\default.php , it should work fine.

Thank you both, this did resolve the issue as I re-enabled the theme setting and the global "general" setting is taking care of hiding it now.

Thank you again,
James
