If it's possible in a future release to be able to support Gif's that would add a new layer of interaction for the user. Kind of makes the app more fun in that way.
To implement this Gif image in app requires quite a lot of changes. However, we will see what we can do about it. You could add this as feature request in our Voices section so everyone else on the site could vote for it as well. The team will usually prioritize features that are in popular demand during the development process of the next major release.
