Hi All,

It looks like to do development in EasyBlog, you have to work on a live site. I have a development site, but I will be moving EasyBlog to the live site once development is done. Is there a way to change the domain of the API key after development? Or, is the expectation that I buy 2 copies of EasyBlog?

Thanks,

Todd
Hello Todd,

Hm, you don't really need to have 2 license if you have a development and a live site. You can actually set the API key in the "Updater" area

Hi Mark,

Then the updater is broken? I set the api key on the development site, and the updater tell me that the API key is invalid.

Thanks,

Todd

Hello Todd,

Upgrading from EasyBlog 3.8.x or older to 3.9.x requires a full uninstall / installation. The reason is because there are some core files which were modified in this release and running the updater would actually break things.

Rest assured that your data would not get erased when you perform an uninstall. Theme files and other core files would however get erased, so if you have made any modifications, it's best to make a backup of the modifications first.
