Hey guys.
While waiting for the EasyBlog 5 BETA I decided to integrate RokSprocket to create a Masonry/Mosaic/Pinterest layout. I am launching my website in 3 weeks and I did not want to risk having to launch with a single column layout lol.

First impressions are quite good, it is a module that you can put inside of an article and publish into a component view. My only problem is I get an error:

If you try to toggle between tags or load more on http://statusselect.com/latest-blogs ...

it gives this error:
Uncaught Error: RokSprocket Error [model: mosaic, model_action: getPage, params: {"moduleid":"382","behavior":"reset","displayed":[],"filter":"Interview","page":1}]: Invalid JSON for params

Also everytime I log into RokSprocket from backend it gives me the same error.

Has anyone here tried using RokSprocket? Or does anyone in this great community know how to solve that JSON error? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I realize that this is a third party module, so I do not expect the Stackideas team to solve it. I am requesting the help of the community. That said, I did include my site details incase the Stackideas team knows of a quick fix.
Ok, so I identified that it is a conflict between RokSprocket and CometChat. I have contacted CometChat to see if they can figure it out.

Hello Jannik,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Thanks for the heads up on this, will keep an eye on this if someone else faces similar issues.

Sounds good, I will share my findings here. As the team at RocketTheme refuse to help if you are not an active subscriber (despite the extension being free) and if the issue is linked to a third party component or plugin, they tend to not test or develop for compatibility, blaming the other party and claiming they do not support or develop for third party components/plugins etc.

I am hoping CometChat can solve it, they usually are willing to fix these types of issues (despite often taking forever in doing so LOL)

Hi Jannik,

Any news on this? I am also very interested to get a Masonry/Mosaic/Pinterest layout.

Thanks,

Andrew

@Jannik, Andrew, would you find it useful to display other ES objects (i.e. Groups, Events, Videos) in RokSprocket's various sortable/configurable layouts (i.e. Masonry/Mosaic/Pinterest et. al.)? I don't know if the general community is aware RokSprocket works outside of RocketTheme templates....

Definitely, my goal is for activity stream, blogs, discussions, groups, events, videos, jreviews and quick2cart to have
the same masonry styling. Consistency across the site.

Oh and andrew, i solved all my problems by disabling cometchat. It is most likely a compatibility issue with another plugin or component.
