Hi there,

I know you guys must be so busy with all the updates (thank you!). I was just wondering if there is any news regarding subscription component to work with EasySocial. I have been in touch with PayPlans but I am not sure they are putting that much energy into it. For some reason they are having great difficulty to nail the profile system created on ES, they can only provide subscriptions to Joomla ACL based permissions. They sent me some time ago a beta of the app they wrote but completely overlooked the fact that ES does not use Joomla's ACL for permissions!! Is there any serious company that users can recommended that might work with ES?

At this stage I beginning to loose heart. I saw how quickly other plugins managed to work with Stackideas but it seems that in the line of subscriptions, there is not much movement. Is it only me who needs a subscription component? How else is everyone planning to subsidise their site if not through subscription?

David
Hello David,

I have been trying to push the guys over at JPayplans but at this point of time, our primary priority is to push our groups in version 2.0. If the guys at Payplans are not going to work out, we might want to get in touch with the guys over at AEC.

Hi Mark,

I completely see where you are coming from. It is just that the guys from pay plans are telling me that they are waiting to receive some information from you. Vivek (PayPlans) responded to me today and said: "...but still we are looking to get some response form Easy social team."

I guess they are just passing it on. I don't think they are that serious about the whole project to be honest. I contacted AEC and David (from AEC) said that it looks interesting but will only look into it after they release 1.2

I am thinking of maybe getting somebody to develop it. I don't know if I can afford it but without it, EasySocial, as wonderful as it is (and you know I love it) is not much good to me. Do you know somebody that I could hire to write it for me?

I am totally lost,

[11/20/13, 9:19:13 PM] VIVEK SINGH (JoomlaXi.com): so we are working on taht but still we can release reg plugin _

Hi Mark,

In my previous mail I said that right now its working fine with latest released version ie 1.0.8. Which works fine for registration plugin . Its not tested yet. Second the profile type assign plugin as per plan need to be developed.

This is from this morning. Basically, they have the registration plugin which does not really work but they are not able to do the profile assignment, which as I am sure you can appreciate, the registration plugin is useless without the profile assignment. Later on (today), he sent me this:

Actually for 3rd party integration there is problem during the time there product gets stable.
As the things are working fine till Easysocial 1.0.4 but not with 1.0.5 version.
Again with 1.0.7 stop works and again with 1.0.8 we fix it and it starts work.
And it's almost 10-12 days in which 3 hot fxes version get released.
So the overall concept is meanwhile the stable version didn't get complete, there may be issues which need to fix.
If the product is stable, then there are good chances of integration.

Not at all Mark the people in OSE are wondering if through all the brilliant updates coming to EasySocial will there be any major changes to the Profile system, one would mean that they would have to redo what they are doing now?

Hi Mark and David,

Sorry to break into this conversation but as a new user to both ES and Payplans
I too have this profile issue and looking for the same answers is there a fix for this yet, if not do we know when.
I was a jomsocial user but I liked the support I got on Easyblog issues and thought I might give ES a try for this new site if I cant get a solution I may need to return to Jomsocial as I know it will link to Payplans (but would prefer to stay with ES)
Please tell me something is happening on this as I need to get the subscribe working right

Thanks in advance for any help or answers you can give

Regards
Jeremey

Hi Jeremy,

I got an email from PayPlans saying they will release a full app that deals with the profile integration today!! I will test it and keep everyone updated on the page.

I also got an email from OSE and they offered to do it as well. They want to charge me for a few hours of work but they seem very serious.

So don't lose heart. We now have two options where there were non a day or two ago.

Nope, the only changes that we would do is the enhancements on the "Access" system where they would be able to provide customers with custom accesses

The app does not work. It does not integrate with EasySocial profile thereby is useless. I am sorry for posting a link to their site.

I think it is official. PayPlans have lost it

Hi Richard,

I have been dealing with them for a few weeks now and tested the app for them. They seem to have issue with the whole profile system on EasySocial. I have given up. It is just too stressful and I have way too many things to do then to get a bad service. I am going to ask for a refund. I will pay OSE to create the integration and keep you all updated. I got spoilt with Stackideas!!

Hi David,

Just a quick note to say it seemed to work for me

When I hit register button on my ES it goes to my subscribe page then when you select a plan it goes to the next page with a register button that then takes you to ES profile pges followed by my paypal egate.

went through sandbox and all came back ok

Hi Jeremy,

How did you assign a profile to a plan? Which app did you use?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you Jeremy for posting. I think I know what the issue is. JPayPlans did half a job. They basically did not deal with the profiles available in EasySocial. What they did is create a product that would be very useful to site managers with only one profile. If you have more then one? you are in trouble!!

I decided to go with OSE. It will cost me but at least it will work. Thanks again
