Any link inside the story panel works with the same text but wrong link

Hi there,

I just noticed something very strange on my live site. Anything looking like a link works and gives a result with the wrong link. You can check it on my live site but entering i.e. "something.li". Where are the results coming from?

Regarding with your main issue, I've tried to check again, I do not know what is the reason, it will always retrieve your server hosting frontpage page source data, you can check my video here : http://screencast.com/t/oX0t9Vyv51jy

Perhaps you can consult with your hosting and see is there a way remove your `yourdomain.xxxx.fc-server.de` sub part of domain name and see is it okay?

If not, we have to provide a hack on this file JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easysocial\includes\crawler\crawler.php so that when the system detected that parser URL come from your hosting , just return the result.

Can you try again, it should not show that info again.

Once I get your phpmyadmin access so I can help you edit those stream which get affected, it would be best if you can provide us these stream URL so I can help you edit it through your database quickly.

If you put other wrong link, is it still generate that same description?

I've checked on your database under this table `zz_social_links`, it seems like it stored a few same data in the same table.

But when I try to put something else wrong link, it will not show any description, because that web link is not available to access, you can check my attached screenshot below.

Yep. Strange thing, because the description seems to be from my hoster fc-hosting.de. You can see it even happened for a user : ***/community/stream/eintrag/17959

Hm, currently I have no ideas why it return these content when crawled invalid site URL yet, perhaps you can consult with your web hosting provider and see is there a way disable these message from your server?

You can pass my attached screenshot to your webhosting provider.

Thank you Arlex for your help. I will do this and get back to this topic after I got an answer.


EDIT:

Provider says, these are the metatags from fc-hosting.de, but not sure where they are coming from, and it is no intention to get these on my page. I got several logs which I have attended to the first post in this thread. Maybe these could help?

It seems to happen since the last update and it starts getting annoying. I have no where running the former version of ES but I have never seen this problem before so I assume it happened with the last update.

Is there a way to edit the stream entries to get rid of that afterwards? Unfortunately there are no moderation tools in EasySocial so I have no idea how I can delete the link only without deleting the whole entry.

I have edited my first post again inside the hidden area.

Thank you for your offer but as long as there are no more entries with that link it is okay. They will go down pretty quick. Deleting the link would have been an alternative in case we could not have stopped those links. But your hack is working and due to that we do not need to delete the links afterwards.
