Hello when you create an announcement it shows in the groups timeline.

My question is this.

When editing an announcement does the system update my itself because as it is when i click timeline it shows the original announcement and when i click announcement under applications it shows the correct/updated version.

I just wondered will this update in its own time or to show the updated version in the timeline as well do i have to actually delete the whole thing and start again.?

I always end up having to edit what i do so I would prefer the system updates by itself rather than having to delete and start again.

am i missing something?

thanks
Can you try downloading the attached file and upload it into /media/com_easysoscial/apps/group/news/ and overwrite the news.php file?

Hello Jason,

When you edit an announcement the stream item showing in the group should also be reflected with the changes automatically

hello mark i thought that is how it should work but it doesn’t seem to do that for me

I created an announcement by copying something id previously written, i cleared the formatting and saved it.
When i looked it had saved with lots of spaces between the text so i edited it so it looked neater and not so spaced out.
The saved version looks fine under applications announcements and also recent announcements but in the timeline it is the same.
I read your reply and thought to clear cache for both easysocial and joomla itself and had another look and still no updates to the timeline, i then thought to edit the announcement again by adding a ! to one of the titles, i checked the timeline again and noticed no change.

I'd noticed this a while ago and thought it was strange if you had to delete the whole thing and start again so I wonder why it is not working as it should?

thanks
