Was this feature removed from es 2.0? I am not seeing this option in the backend..
Navigate to Components > EasySocial > Settings > Photos > General and locate Allow Animated Gif Processing option.

site/administrator/index.php?option=com_easysocial&view=settings&layout=form&page=photos

It's the last option on the page.
