Hi everybody,

I also have the issue that the installation hangs ag 45%.
This is not server-related: The same upgrade works on another website on the same server. I already tried to fix the things I found in the other threads, but it doesn´t work.

Any news about this issue?

All the best, Ju lian!
Hi again,

unfortunately, the StackIdeas-Components don´t allow to downgrade after an update failed.
And whatever I do ... it always redirects me to the launcher, when I try to access the backend. I even can´t run any maintenance-scripts to check if it will work.

The bad thing is, that easysocial is not running in this "mixed" state, so it would be very helpfull if you could solve this issue as quick as possible.
I added the admin-credentials for you. If you need FTP feel free to install eXtplorer.

All the best, Julian!

Hi again,

I just want to add some information:
As far as I see it MUST be the database. What I did:

- On "Website A" Easyblog will not install. It hang´s at 45% at the post-installation cleanup.
- On "Website B" it works normally.
- When I copy the tables from Website A into the database of Website B, the installation agains hangs in the post installation cleanup.

So ... I think it´s the database.

All the best, Julian!

hi Julian,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I have tried to access in your Joomla backend , but hitting this :
This web page is not available

By the way, can you try run following this 2 sql from your phpmyadmin and see what you get the total result?

select count(1) from `#__easyblog_acl_group`;
select count(1) from `#__easyblog_category_acl_item`;

Note : (replace #__ with your database table prefix)

if only this table `#__easyblog_acl_group` the total count show a lot e.g over 1000000++ , try truncate this table data run this sql. (before you run this, please do a backup first.)
truncate table `#__easyblog_acl_group`;

Then run again the installation and see how it goes.

Hi Arlex,

maybe I had a typo in the URL. The website is live.
It´s http://www.psychopragmatik.de. Can you access it now?

Here the two sql-results:

I didn´t run the truncate-sql because the table is way smaller then your number.
Here a screenshot:

If you think about the memory-limits because of the size of the database, here a screenshot of the requirements:

Hi Julian,

Ya, that was correctly the URL when I tried to access again as you provided in your previous reply,

I believe your server restrict some IP address can't access in your site.

By the way, this is my current IP address -> 175.145.128.137

Can you try add in your server whitelist?

Also I can't see your screenshot at above, can you attach the screenshot in your next reply as well?

This is VERY weired.
I don´t know about having any blacklisted IPs or anything going on like this.
I will have to check it.

Can you please check if you can reach any of the following websites, as they are all hosted on my server:

http://www.nlp-shop.com
http://www.nlp-deutschland.de
http://www.nlp-support.de
http://www.jahrestraining.de

Can I in the meanwhile just sent you a dump of the Easysocial-Databases? I guess, this could work also.
I just don´t know if it would be public if I add it as an attachement to this thread.

All the best, Julian!

I now have checked the server-settings as far as I can.
All lists (blacklist, whitelist, spamfilter) are turned off.
I have no Idea how it is possible that you have no access, but I mailed my hosting-company if there is any filter active that I don´t know about.

I'm able to access it here in the US. Looks nice on mobile, by the way. I know you checked with your host; did they just check htaccess files or did they also check their software and hardware firewalls?

Hi Julian,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply,

Yes, I believe is your server restrict our country IP address access in your site.

if you already backup this all the Easyblog database data, can you try truncate only this table #__easyblog_acl_group data then run the installation again and see how it goes?

truncate table `#__easyblog_acl_group`;

Remember enabled error_reporting to Maximum from your backend > system > global configuration > server , then open your browser development console tool and check for the installation step respond. Example : right click on your mouse and select "inspect element" check my screenshot : http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-06-22_1606.png , when the last step is stop remember click on that respond and see what server return you that error. Keep us updated then.

By the way, thanks for help David

Unfortunately we already tested clear all the browser cache and successfully flushed the DNS resolver cache, we still can't able to access.

A short question:
Do you have a static IP-Adress?
If not, can you tell me, which IP you have in the moment?

Hi Julian,

Sorry for late reply to this,

It seems like you missing this column so causing this installation issues. Check my screenshot : http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-06-22_2255.png

After manually added this missing column in your database, it work fine now.

By the way, may i know this site is it using 3.9 version before?

After that only upgrade to 5.0? Because I noticed your blog post didn't appear on the site now.

Is it can provide us with your PHPMYADMIN and FTP access as well?

Hi Arlex,

great, it´s working now, thank you.

About the blog-posts: Don´t worry. I have Mighty Sites installed and the blog-posts are on a different installation. I disabled the content-sharing of Mighty Sites during the installation (I had the same issue on all installations), but now, as it works, I enabled it again and all blog-posts are there.

So do you still need Access?

All the best, Julian!

Hi Arlex,

unfortunatelly ... I think I messed something up.
Now the posts really disappeared. But they are not deleted: When I look into the database, they are present. The categorys also are present. But the postings don´t show up.

Could you (again) have a look on the site? The admin-credentials are still the same.

Please don´t get distracted:
This site is replicated with Mighty Sites. EasyBlog actually uses tables from http://www.nlp-blogger.de. But this is not the issue: When I log in on http://www.nlp-blogger.de I have exactly the same issue.

I didn´t work directly on the database, but I think, something got messed up in the database-structure and I can´t find any button "fix database" like in comento. I also tried to run all update-scripts and maintenance-scripts, but no effect ...

All the best, Julian!

Hi Julian,

For some reason, I can access in your backend now.

Can you do a full backup of your current data and provide us with your FTP access so we can better have a check on this?

Yes. But if you want it might be an easier solution for you, if I make a backup of all EasyBlog-tables and sent them to you.
The error affects ONLY Easyblog, so I guess you have more freedom if I sent you the data.

What do you think?
And ... what is the best way to sent it to you? Can I add it as an attachement?

All the best, Julian!

Regarding the above, I assumed your current site http://www.psychopragmatik.de the database are referring to tables with prefix 'nlp_blogger_'? but in your site the Joomla configuration the db prefix was set to rrkl8_, I was confused at 1st because the data records from 'rrkl8_' was correct but not in 'nlp_blogger_'. So i went ahead and fixed the incomplete data from EB tables that prefixed with 'nlp_blogger_'. Now your blog posts are showing correctly. http://screencast.com/t/oQG4BsXHQ

Please verify again.

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hi Sam,

yes, it seems like they all show up correctly now.
But I want to make sure that it´s nothing mixed with the prefix now. It is correct, that the prefix has to be different then the prefix of the Joomla-installation.

Bouth websites use the same database, they are only separeted by the prefixes. Psychopragmatik has the prefix rrkl8_ and NLP-Blogger.de has the prefix nlp_blogger_

Now I installed Mighty Sites and the database-querys are redirected. So when the website asks for the contend of the table "rrkl8_easyblog-table" it is automatically changed to "nlp_blogger_easyblog-table". Because of that, if you look directly into the database, you will see a different table-prefix for Easyblog. The Joomla-prefix is "rrkl8_" and the Easyblog-Prefix is "nlp_blogger_"

Now you said you fixed the prefix. This "should" not be possible, because the tables are ALSO present with the other prefix. I first installed Easyblog and THEN I turned mighty sites on to redirect the tables. Because of that, there are (inactive) Tables with the other prefix that are not used.

So as long as you didn´t change the prefix, all is okay.

By the way, I am just curious: How did you fix the table without an sql-useraccount?
It is totally okay that you did it, I just would like to know how.

All the best, Julian!

I am sorry for the confusion, I did not fix the prefix. What i fixed are the records in tables with prefix 'nlp_blogger_' So yeah, I do see whenever i run the select statement with #__table_name, it goes to nlp_blogger_table_name.

By the way, I am just curious: How did you fix the table without an sql-useraccount?

Ah, we actually installed a sql tool called 'mijosql' so that we can run select / update statement from your database to fix your issue. You may uninstall this component from your site

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hi julien,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply and the screenshot was broken now,

I can't remember which columns is missing from Julian issues at above.

If you are hitting the installation issues, perhaps you submit a new post thread and provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

By the way, I will mark this thread as resolved and lock it to avoid any confusions in the future, but if you need any help please feel free to start a new thread in our forums.
