Hello,

I was wondering how I could allow users to update their account email.
I guess I could add a link in the menu for users to access their joomla account, but that feels kind of sloppy considering that PayPlans haves a dashboard. I think that what makes sense is to allow a user to do this by adding access to these details under "My Account" tab of PayPlans dashboard.

Any suggestion on how to do this?

Thank you.
Hello,

Are you using User detail app or talking about default joomla email address.

Hello Manisha,

I'm talking about the default Joomla address.
That's the one that matters to me as I'll be using other extensions that use it (ie. acymailing).
User detail is a nice app but there's no way I could use it for anything that maybe reporting.

Hello Manisha,

That's unfortunate.
Is there a way to add custom HTML into the "My Account" tab?

Hello Paulo,

Yes, you can add custom html into My Account tab.
You need to override the file path shown below. (see attached screen shot)
root/components/com_payplans/templates/tmpl_bs3/dashboard/default_frontview.php

Let me know if you have any query.

Manisha,

when I try to create an overwrite, from within joomla admin panel. It creates the directories, but all other than plan, are empty.
I guess I can copy the original file manually, but thought you might like to know this.

Hello Manisha,

Thanks for the link, I just wanted to make sure you knew that making the overwrite from within the Joomla admin panel was not working.
I'm looking forward to seeing where PayPlans is headed now that Stack Ideas took over.

Wish you all a great weekend.

Hey Paulo,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Hm, may I know which file were you trying to override and how did you made these changes? Also, what are the errors that you get from the admin panel?

Hi Mark,

I was trying to overwrite the dashboard template via the joomla admin panel, Joomla didn't show any error at all, but when I looked into template_name/html/com_payplans/dashboard, the directory was empty, the order and subscription directories were also empty, but the order directory had its template there.

Its fine, I just copied the file from its original location manually. But I think you guys might want to look into this and make it fully doable from within Joomla admin panel.
