Is there any way to allow a user to create an unlimited amount of albums and upload an unlimited amount of photos (I really do not want to restrict my users ability to upload photos), the same applies to the friends list and report)?
Hello K2,

In EasySocial 1.2 , there will be a new "unlimited" or "limited" with value option

Hello CK,

You can define profile access by editing the profile in the back end of EasySocial and clicking on the "Access" tab. Within the "Access" tab, define the access for the profile You can't currently set "unlimited" but you can set a large value

Mark,

Are there any plans to allow unlimited uploads (in JoomSocial if one sets the upload field to 0, the user can upload unlimited amount files to the site)?

Hello Ck,

Not too sure if "Unlimited" would really sound right but I do think that setting this to a very large value would make more sense. I will see if we can update our access library to allow "0" as "unlimited"

In the past I would have been all for unlimited, but after years of internet experience I realize that giving people literally unlimited is overkill. However I still agree with the 0 unlimited method so that it's easier for the admin to set rather than a huge number. I know it's as easy as a dozen characters, but many folks have the expectation that they can set it to unlimited with 0. Zero of course meaning no limit. Keywords or however you have it also works.

Yeah, I think setting it to 0 might be of an hassle and sometimes people doesn't understand the term 0 when it's used in settings. I don't even know how to generate an infinite symbol with my keyboard haha . Anyway, it's all good in 1.2 as there will be a similar yes / no with Unlimited / limited [with textbox]

Mark,

Having played with the 1.2 beta, I do not see the unlimited option, am I missing anything?

Ah, looks like we missed a few of them but I have already added them In the next beta, you need to delete those previous accesses and re-discover them again.

Hi,

Go to backend -> EasySocial -> Access, delete all the rules and discover there.

Jason,

Thank you (I was unsure if deleting the rule would delete the file from the system, I guess not ).

I did notice that the group ACL (backend -> EasySocial -> Profiles -> {Profile Name} -> Access -> Groups -> Group Limit) does not contain the unlimited option, are there any plan on adding the unlimited option there as well?
