It would be nice to be able to not have a default category, that way if somebody tried to post without selecting first (which is happening A LOT) it will prompt them to select one instead of posting into the wrong category.
Thanks!
Hello Gelncoe,
We initially requested user to post in the forums for new feature requests but we soon realize that these feature requests were becoming "noises" because most of the feature request submitted are very niche for their own site's usage. We wrote the voices area in hopes that everyone would use that platform to vote for their feature requests instead. So if there is a demand for it, we will build it
Why do you have two separate places to submit Feature Requests?
As a user (And a UX guy), having multiple sites and places to submit stuff makes it more complicated and confusing. Keep in mind that while most people have high end technology, 90% of them can barely use it.
Don't make people jump through hoops, bring the hoops to them.
Hey Mark,
Wouldn't you be able to use the Voting Feature in EasyDiscuss to accomplish the same basic idea and keep it all contained within the same site?
Keep up the great work, and keep in mind that most users don't know what they want until it's there

In a way, the voting would work but filtering in the forums is not that great and forums isn't really a good place to post feature requests. The idea for a forum for us would be to assist users with their issues so when others come to the forum to search, they get pure results of "issues others are facing". If we mix feature requests with the issues, then search results wouldn't give you a more prominent result
