Hello,

While specifying my profile for me (the only author on my site) and it contains links the links are automatically removed (even while using no editor). Is there a way to keep them in? (And why do they get removed?)

I am using the latest version of Easyblog and Joomla.

Thank you!
Hi Mike,

I've applied the fix inside your /administrator/components/com_easyblog/controllers/bloggers.php and it should be working correctly now. Can you verify it for me?

Hey Mike,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a public holiday for us here.

Do you mean you would like to include a link in the user profile biography? Take a look of my screenshot below.

If yes, you have to enable the `Enable WYSIWYG editor for biography` from backend > Easyblog > setting > layout > general

After that go edit user profile reset again with your link.

if still have the issue, perhaps you can provide us with your Joomla backend and what biography content you would like to display?

Hello Arlex,

I have done what you suggested however here are some key points:

1.) The editor was already visible when inserting the bio before I switched this option on
2.) I have tried both JCE and the default TinyMCE editor as well as No editor and Codemirror. All links are stripped out.

In the backend I am navigating to Components > Easyblog > Authors > Author Name > then choosing the Blog Settings tab. I have included details for the site. I already have text in the bio area.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Mike,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. By right this issue has already been fixed in the current release of easyblog. Can you pass me your FTP access so we can check further on the issue?

I was previously on version 5.0.22 and updated to 5.0.24. Unfortunately I am getting the same behavior. Details have been added.

Thanks!

Hi Ezrul,

It is indeed working now. Thank you!

Assuming this effects all users of Easyblog and not just me, will the fix be applied to the next update?
