Hi

Is it possible to restrict certain categories so that certain users can post in those categories but not in others?

For example, Super Users can post in Category A and Catgeory B but Registered users can only post in Category B

I've found how to restrict a category from being viewed by certain groups but not restricting posting

Thanks
Hey there,

It seems like you are requesting support for staff.barracloughs.net but your licensed domain is barracloughs.net .Please understand that Pro license only entitles you to support for 1 domain only.

Is this staff.barracloughs.net domain is your live site development site or one of your current sub domain site? If this is your sub domain site, do you consider to switch your current licensed domain to staff.barracloughs.net?

By the way, regarding with your current question,

Yes you can set the restrictions by following these steps:

1. In your easyblog backend go to components > EasyBlog > Categories

2. Select the category that you want to set the restrictions

3. Go to permissions
a)General > Privacy > Choose 'Assigned Joomla User Group'

b)Assigned permissions > in 'select category during blog creation / edit' > select the user group > Save

Thank you & Best Regards
Suganthi
