Hello,

I've got a problem when creating french and english versions of a same article.
We can't link them too as in joomla system but it's not a big problem. The real one is when you open the category menu or module : it counts the two.

A simple exemple :

The joomla language system is activated, tested.

  1. I create an article called "Bonjour et bienvenue !"
  2. and set it's language property to "french"
  3. I create an article called "Hello and Welcome !"
  4. and set it's language property to "english"
  5. I add a category module

Now if I go on the home page, select french, I will only see the first article (french one) BUT, the categories module says there are 2 articles. It's the exact same behavior if I do this with a sub-category instead of articles. The category counting and display system totally ignores languages.

Could you please fix that ? It's really annoying.

Thank you so much !
grrr even worse : Now in french article, at "related articles", It's showing me the english article ! It's ridiculous ! It's not related !
It shouldn't be displayed if not in the same language. Like in a normal Joomla article. If you are in english don't see any french and in french don't see any english ! It's the purpose of the language selection ! One language only, one other, or all.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hello again. Not, sorry but no.
But you can take a look HERE
As you can see, it's in french or english, with joomla system plugin languagefilter doing its job.
"Games/Jeux" menu displays normal joomla articles and I will replace it by EasyBlog games category posts if it works.
The "blogs" categories posts (Fr and EN) are in "all" languages so french peaple can read english posts and conversely, but mini-games need to be posted as "english version" and "french version" each time.
I attached an screenshot showing the posts list

Example :
HERE, you can see the language system does the job
But HERE, if you take a look at the right column in "categories" module, deploy "Games", you will see Games(4). Wich is wrong : It's 2 posts in french and 2 pots in english !!

Another problem (maybe the same) : the related articles
take a look HERE
As you can see, in french, it shows the english version as a "related article".
I noticed something strange : you can access it through http://j2geeks.fr/fr/super-francois-en OR http://j2geeks.fr/en/super-francois-en
Is it a problem with url/SEO in joomla 3.4 ?
(I attached my system informations)
And my top modules are displaying here but hey shouldn't. As you can see in the "mod-allowed-only.png" screenshot, I just allowed it on home pages (fr and en).

hi aufré Aligé,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply,

I've tried to replicate on my locally, but I only can replicated this related post filter language tag issues (you can download my attachment and replace in this file -> JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easyblog\models\blog.php), other issues you mentioned is work fine for me.

To be honestly, that would hard for me to investigate on this issues without access on your site. Because different site different setup their menu item and language. Hope you understand.

Hello

Don't be sorry your're not late ! From a time zone point of view, I am late

It fixed the url pb, the "related" one. Thank you
It's strange, category module always sees all categories / articles.

I realized something really bad : Joomla think about category view and posts as the home page.
This is broken. If all the home page modules appear on every posts and categories, it's a BIG problem.
Maybe an option to link the post alias to a menu alias (one per language because we have 1 menu for each language) .
For example, if http://domaine.xxx/fr/example-post became http://domaine.xxx/fr/blogs/exemple-post, It would be like normal Joomla behaviour.

Regards,
Jau

I changed the seo settings from "simple" to "category based". It's better for seo, even without modules, but now I have a "entry" intruder
exemple : .../fr/entry/blog-fr/etat-des-reseaux-francais

Hey there,

Hm, if you are using the "category based" for seo, the "view" needs to be included in the URL
