Hello stackideas support-team,

after upgrading from easydiscuss 3.x to 4.0.6 all old discussions are doubled in the frontend-discussions-list and the recent discussions-module.

In the backend and in the database the discussions are not saved twice.

What can I do to fixe this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Kinde regards

Andreas

Hello Arlex,

I changed the firewall settings, now you can reach the site. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Here you can see the component:

https://www.conscio.de/index.php?option=com_easydiscuss&view=index&Itemid=300

Here you can see the module at the buttom of the site:

https://www.conscio.de/index.php?option=com_content&view=featured&Itemid=867

Please use the access data I submitted.

Best regards

Andreas

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply,

Thanks for fixed that firewall issue, but I still unable to login from your backend, please advise.

By the way, can you provide us with your PHPMYADMIN as well? I believe the thread table stored duplicated each post data from your database.

Hello Arlex,

I reset the password and now you can login to the front- and the backend.

I also added the phpmyadmin data to the hidden area of my initial post.

Thank you very much!

Best regards

Hey Andreas,

Thanks for getting back to us, I already checked in your site, for some reason your #__discuss_thread table existed multiple data for each discussion.

This is what I did on your site just now :
1. Run this following SQL in database
TRUNCATE TABLE `#__discuss_thread`;

UPDATE `#__discuss_posts` set `thread_id` = 0;

2. Then go to your backend > Easydiscuss > maintenance > script > tick `Migrate parent post as thread` > Click execute button.

Can you give it a check? It should work fine now.

Hello Arlex,

thank you very mutch for your maintenance! Now there are no more duplicated entries anymore.

But now I can observe another issue:

I placed the easy-discuss-module in the "bottom a"-module position of my yootheme-template. Now there is often a big space between this "bottom a"-position and the other modules above. Sometimes it's only a small gap, sometimes the gap is as high as the whole site.

I switched of jquery in the easy-discuss administration and the issue seemed to be solved. But now this issue returned. Can you help me please a second time? Perhaps it's a conflict between the yootheme widgetkit modules and the easy-discuss module on this site?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards

Andreas
