I would like to know how to implement an all day event without a time frame? Is there a special solution?
Hello Horst,

Sorry but I am not really sure if I understand you correctly here. Would you mind elaborating more on this please?

Hi Mark,

I mean the following: I would like to setup an event within ES which does not start and end at a specific time on a special day, e.g. a public holiday....

Yes at the moment I'm using time fields and setting 12AM to 12PM which works of course... other event components I've used do tend to have that "ALL DAY EVENT?" checkbox where people can highlight if it's "STACKIDEAS APPRECIATION DAY" for example.

Thanks for the heads up on this but unfortunately right now this isn't possible. We'll consider and see if we can add this in the future

Sounds good as a future maybe. For info, attached is a screenshot of how the mighty Google handles it (see the check-box upper left for "All Day Event")

Jason added this to the next release of ES:

So if you wanted an all day event all you would need is an admin option that did not require the time field to be filled out. I am definitely in favor of that. This would also allow for better planning when someone is not sure of the time but knows the date.

Hi,

I will see if I can manage to include this in the upcoming 1.3.x releases.
