Hi,

I just updated my Easyblog to the latest version 5 and now, if I create a new post, or if I edit an old one, upon saving the post all formatting is stripped out which leaves the post as just one giant block of text. This has ruined my latest blog post and I can't fix it.

It does not matter if I use TinyMCE or Easyblog Composer. Same issue applies. Before update I used TinyMCE with no problems.

Upon pasting the text into the EasyBlog composer, it will appear that it has retained it's formatting. But if you click apply, or Update post, then the formatting gets stripped out.

It does not matter if I paste the text from MS Word or Notepad, same issue applies.

It does not matter if I am using Chrome Version 46.0.2490.71 or IE 11, same issue applies.

The latest blog post "Is CoolSculpting right for you?" is the one that has no formatting. I have disabled it from displaying on the front end because it looks bad, but you can see it in the back-end for troubleshooting.

Any help is appreciated.
Hi Ian,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. Seems like your joomla upgrade to version 3.4.5 did fix the issue here. Take a look on my test post here, yoursite.com/component/easyblog/entry/template-for-event-1-1?Itemid=101 where it actually retained the formatting of the blog, http://screencast.com/t/UGGjkHfq5G . Can you verify this for me and see how it goes?

Hi there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. I've checked the output of the blog content via code debug and easyblog still retaining the html formatting right at the end of saving process but for some reason the formatting suddenly disappear afterwards. We are still checking on the issue on your site and will keep you updated once we have resolve the issue.

Thanks for understanding.

Unfortunately I couldn't wait any longer. I have disabled the easyblog component and replaced the blog with a Wordpress installation. I'm currently upgrading my joomla installation to the newest version. It's a big upgrade from 3.0.2. Perhaps that would have helped with the issue, but I'm not sure. I may test it when the upgrade is working properly just to close the loop.

Thanks
