All comment dates are UTC, even though I've set a timezone

I have double-checked my setting in the server as well as in Joomla, and both are set to America/New_York, but every comment in EasyBlog shows up as UTC, and not offset. Is this a configuration problem somewhere else, or have you introduced a new setting in EasyBlog that I can't find?

Please replace your default.item.php file with this attachment file in ...\components\com_easyblog\themes\wireframe\comments\
