Hello,

We have some categories that are viewable only to specific usergroups by setting its privacy to "Assigned Joomla User Group".

When clicked on those categories from the category module, users who don't have permission will see two alert messages below:

"Sorry but you don't have permission to view this category. "
and
"There are no blog posts currently available"

The thing is …
even if there are blog posts in the category, it still says "there are no blog posts...".

This is a trivial issue, but just wanted to let you know in case this is a bug.

Thanks,
rikao
Hello Rikao,

Is the user able to view posts from that particular category? If they are not able to view the posts from that category, then it is correct. Also, is there any custom permissions on the posts?

Hello Mark,

There is no problem as they are not able to view the posts from that category.

> Also, is there any custom permissions on the posts?
No, there is not custom permissions on the posts.

I just wondered if this is normal to see "There are no blog posts currently available." even if actually there are posts (although they are hidden).

Thanks,
Rikao

Thanks for reported, actually that is not a bug, but I will lock this into our tracker and see if we can manage if the current viewer do not have permission to view the blog post and if still have blog post under this category, it will just show this warning message "Sorry but you don't have permission to view this category.".
