+Albums in Applications Widget (in Groups)

Hello

I was wondering why in groups, albums don't appear under the "Applications" widget (as events do for example)? My users are not even aware that they can create albums in a group, unless they notice that there is a small "x Albums" in the group banner and are curious enough to go there.

Would is be possible to have "Albums" in the applications list, or somewhere more visible (I have the Albums widget already displayed, but that's obviously not enough

This is what I call "Group Applications Widget" (attached). Maybe this is improper...

Hey,

Hm, as far as I recall, there is no "Albums" for the "Events" view. Am I missing anything here?

Well, I think we are misunderstanding

My question is just: why is Albums (Photos) application not appearing under "Applications" in the snapshot I sent previously? This snapshot was done on the homepage of a group.

Hm, on your first post above, you mentioned that it is appearing on Events eh? Anyway the reason that we do not add these as "apps" on the respective pages is simply because it's going to be extremely heavy on the page itself.

We have some ideas for EasySocial 2.1 later but right now our focus is on 2.0

I was just saying that under "Applications" we have an menu entry for Events, so why not for Albums? And why would it be "heavy"?

You mean the Albums page is heavy? So you prefer not having a link to the page. Did I get you right?

Yes sure, the Albums page is heavy. On my site, depending on the number of group albums, it can take up to 30 sec. to load. That's were we have an issue then...

Is there any improvement planned for this page?

OK, I think I lack of technical background to realize how heavy it is

I will have to find another way to have a more visible link to Albums on a group page.
