Albums are created, and published as a stream item before a user clicks "done". this is resulting in albums posted when members back out, upload an incorrect image or for whatever reason choose not to complete the album..
Hi Dennis,

Prior to easysocial 2.0, when a user trying to create an album by first uploading the photos into the album, the system must create an album in order to store the uploaded images correctly even before the user finalizing the album by clicking "done" button hence creating the story stream that you mentioned above. However the album privacy will always become "Only Me" instead of public if user did not finalizing the album.

With this privacy control, any stream items that created by the photo upload will not visible to other users. Once user click on "done" button, the album privacy will instantly change to the privacy that user-specified when creating the album.

Hope these help.

This is not the way it's working.. default privacy option is not set to "only me" you can see this on my dev site. by logging in with an alternate user. Use the "log in frontend" button in the joomla users page on a different browser window. The last test album was created by me, but not actually published.

Either way, the ES should not be publishing an album before the user commits to actually publishing it.. this should be treated as a bug.. the administrator usually has to clean up all the albums that users didn't know were created.

Hi Dennis,

It seems like the privacy for the photos did not get changed correctly during the upload hence causing the stream to appear as public. By right the privacy of the photos should always follow album privacy.

I will log this issue into the codebase so our developers can take a look at the issue closely and apply the necessary fix as soon as possible.

Thank you for your kind understanding.
