Hello,

I set my album privacy to "Friends Only", but when I view a picture in the album, it shows "Site Memebers"

I also did a test on your demo site and saw the same issue
Hi Checksum,

I believe each albums has its own privacy and also each photos has its own privacy as well. However, photos are bound by album privacy. As for example, if the album privacy is set to "only-me", the photos in the album will not be displayed by other user except only you.

Hope I explained this well and if you have anymore questions, please do not hesitate to ask us.

Hi Mohd,
I understand that.
I believe it's a bug.

If I create an album and set the privacy to 'friends only', then all photos inside that album should be set to 'friends only' regardless of other settings unless I change it manually.

This is what happens:
Create an album and set it to 'friends only', when you view a picture belonging to that album, the privacy setting does not follow the album privacy setting but instead the privacy set by 'who can view my photo' in the confidentiality setting.

Hope you understand what I am trying to say .

Hi,

I believe there is misunderstanding here. When you create a album and set the album privacy setting to "friends only", then you upload some photos into that album. Eventhough the photos are set to be shared to "everyone", it still follow album privacy setting where "friends only" can view these photos. So, if someone who isn't your friends will never see/view these album/photos.

Hope that I have explained this well.

I understand what you are saying, but if you look at the 2 pictures I posted: the album privacy is set to 'friends only' and the picture from that album has a privacy of 'site members', which is not right.

Hello Checksum,

No, it is not a bug and it is meant to be this way. If you upload a photo in an album, it doesn't automatically inherit the privacy from the album but on your photo privacy settings.

At times, your user's might want to share the album to the public but only want selective photos in the album which are only viewable by selective people instead which is defined in their photo privacy.
