album comments on dashboard stream do not display in the group album.

I have found when a user creates an album in a group and a stream item is created for the dashboard.. Any comments on the stream do not appear in the group post, and viceversa.

I've attached two screenshots showing the dashboard post, and the item post in the group where it shows a user has commented, but the comment is not shown. As you can see in the two. "view_on_Dashboard" shows a member commented.. but on the post in the group, it shows a member commented, but does not display it.

edit: After a little more testing, maybe this can help narrow it down.
when accessing the following URL's for the album in the group:

/index.php/dashboard/groups/item/9-currentauctions and
/index.php/dashboard/groups/item/9-currentauctions/albums/item/406-test-title
comments posted from the dashboard are not shown.

when looking at /index.php/dashboard/group/9-currentauctions (no /item/ ) The comments are displayed.
Can you try download my following attached file then replace into following file location and see how it goes?

JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easysocial\includes\albums\albums.php
JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easysocial\includes\stream\stream.php
JoomlaFOlder\media\com_easysocial\apps\group\photos\photos.php

If the issue still persists, it would be best if you can set up FTP user account for us is because when troubleshoot through your file explorer extension backend, it quite not safely because when I do any mistake, I will not able to access back to your backend and revert back with my changes.

Hey dennis,

Can you try download my attached file then replace into this following file location JoomlaFolder\media\com_easysocial\apps\group\photos\photos.php and see how it goes?

If the issue still persists, can you provide us with your FTP access so we can check further?

Hello Arlex, unfortunately that did not change anything.. I also do not have FTP layer enabled on this server due to firewall and security restrictions. I can set up a file explorer in my Joomla installation if that would help.

Actually, it may have done something. It seems some comments are now displaying now.

if I comment from the dashboard, the album now shows it, and vise versa, but I still don't see any of the comments from a url with /item/ in it. for example, on my cwga2.pghost.com site (a backup of the live site, so feel free to do whatever you want)

/index.php/dashboard/groups/item/9-currentauctions/albums/item/406-test-title

if you view that page on the install, you will see two comments on the album that don't display on the dashboard feed, nor the dashboard feeds there.

Thank you very much, I will apply those now and check. to be honest I have never set up the FTP layer on Joomla and am not exactly sure how to configure it properly.. I will read the documentation.. I have always use SCP...
