AJAX PLUGIN cause components error (EB, ED, ES...)

Hello friends,

First of all, THIS IS ***NOT*** A BUG or an error related to your products.... Your products work fine ! BUT I have a probleme, and have any idea if it's possible to solve it.... I will explain you : I have a music-player on my site, and I DONT want to use an iframe or a pop-up for have NON-STOP music even the user is navigate on my site.... For this reason, I have downloaded a free ajax-plugin on the JED. It work fine, but the probleme is when I go to my site http://www.yannanderson.com, then I go to forum (ED), then I click on a post, I cannot edit because "edit button" dont work.... Same kind of problems with EasySocial or EasyBlog...

When I go to a component using the main-menu of Wanderers, all is ok, but after I click on a link INSIDE one of your component (or I can imagine any other component), my AJAX plugin create a probleme and any components-links work.... Take a look to picture 1: it's an exemple, but ED "edit-buton" don't work.... But when I manually refresh the URL (that is stoping-music / exactly that I dont want) the "edit-button" is now working (picture 2)...

AS YOU KNOW, it's not a probleme with Stackideas, but because you know perfectly php, js and more, you have maybe an idea? Possible to solve it by using a "special" backend setting ? Or maybe you know another ajax plugin ? A way that you can show me ?

DONT WORRY if you have no time for help me, or any solution, no problems, I understand, but I just want to ask you this question, because my acknowledges are 0,000001 % of yours

And if you have any solution, I can publish my player in only one page, but.... hum... that's not the "perfect" result I try to obtain...

Hey Yann,

I believe if you are going to pay a freelancer to fix this, it's going to be tricky as well. Because there are just too many ajax requests going on and it's going to be too much work just for you to achieve this

I don't think this only affects our extension but many other extensions would be affected as well

Hey Yann,

The problem is actually because the plugin that you are using is not performing a page refresh on the site and when there is no page refresh, they should / must (process or evaluate) all the javascripts that we have returned in our extension.

This is actually why all the ajax calls within the extension doesn't load and it's simply because some of the scripts that are rendered by our extension aren't rendered / evaluated or hit some errors in their wrappers

Thank you so much for your message! Now, with your answer, I understand better how does it work... So, it will be to much complicate for me to make some changes myself, I'll probably use AJAX only for my music page, and display the music player only on this page... Not perfect, but not so bad.... The "dream" for me was to use this system for all pages, but.... I will use this solution...

And just a detail, because of your header (speaking about ED4) your site (forum) is not responsive and display bad on mobile devices See attached picture

Yes of cours, any other components/extensions dont work with this systeme... So, I finally just published the "music-player-module" on my "music-page" and I use AJAX only for this page... I have made some php changes on my "roksprocket-component" and it can now load music from component to the player-module... That's cool, take a look when you have one minute free :-)
