Can the app/plugin be changed so that it only appears at the time of user registration and the age ranges also be modified through the plugin instead of manually changing it in the code?

James
Hey there,

Unfortunately, it is impossible to do that for both at this point of time.

Ok, very unfortunate as it is a great idea but doesn't really give US any control.

My opinion is that when these Apps are being developed they need to be done so with the mindset that not everyone knows how to find and modify the files to suit, that defeats the purpose, especially given Joomla! and it being Free and Open Source, it attracts a lot of small business owners who are focused on developing their business, not the code. In this case, I feel the App Page doesn't really give any indication that this can or can not be done and doesn't/didn't give me a clear understanding of what it actually does.

Hey James

No one's forcing you to use these solutions. You can also develop or finance something yourself. This is intellectual property. I think people do a **** good job with the size of their team.

@Irwin you guys rock

@Joy

I know you feel your comment is going to ring some bell, but it won't and didn't. Your one of those type that obviously has a tough time with constructive criticism. For me, I encourage it. If you don't point out a problem, it can't be fixed, if you don't suggest the change, things will stay the same. As for me, I personally own virtually every product that StackIdeas develops, some of those products I own multiple licenses.

The point of my message was that the Application was developed with virtually no user parameters and that 90% of Joomla! users are not coders, are lost when it comes to changing files and customizing their sites. So, in a sense, my message was advocating for the majority.

As you know, it is their software and they will do as they please.

Hey James,

In this case, I feel the App Page doesn't really give any indication that this can or can not be done and doesn't/didn't give me a clear understanding of what it actually does.

Thanks for your input, we will discuss with the team and see whether possible to create a demo site for these app so user can test it before purchase these app from our app store.

By the way, thanks for your suggestion, we always welcome who has good ideas to improve our existing product, but some time we need to evaluate that whether most of the user who want this feature or not. If there got a lot of user request this, we will definitely consider to add this into the future release version, this is why we always encourage our user if they have good ideas, they can always submit their ideas into our forum under this EasySocial feature request https://stackideas.com/forums/easysocial/feature-requests-2 , if they urgently need this feature immediately on their site, they can request for a quote from us at helpdesk.
