I've got the problem that whenever a user or I save a reply to a discussion question, nothing seems to have happened. There is no feedback telling the user that the reply has been saved. That leads users to save the reply multiple times which is not only frustrating for the user but also for the moderators who need to delete the duplications.
Hello Andrew,

I believe Mark has suggested that you use the bbcode Editor instead which is built in in Easydiscuss. http://screen.stackideas.com/2014-12-10_1009.png

Hello Andrew Winkler,

Sorry for late reply to this,
It seems like your site is extremely slow.
It look like when i try to submit reply, it need to wait for 20second++ then only show the reply successfully message, check my screenshot below.
May i know is it you mentioned this issues?

The timing out problem with my site has been resolved by increasing buffer sizes and turning on memcache, but I still don't get any confirmation back from EasyDiscuss that his post/reply has been saved, nor does the page switch to full discussion/thread view. The editing form remains open, making the user think that his post has not been saved and causing him to save the same post multiple times.

Firstly, you need to consider using bbcode instead of a full WYSIWYG editor because it slows down the page alot. Anyway, when I post a reply, I do see the update message as you can see here, http://screen.stackideas.com/2014-12-06_0032.png

I still have the problem that 9 out of 10 times, EasyDiscuss does not provide any feedback that it has saved the post/reply, does not display the saved post and keeps showing the entry form. This leads the user to believe that his post has not been saved. He either keeps pressing the post/save button or gives up. If I'm lucky he sends me the comment in an email saying that commenting is not working.

As far as your suggestion is concerned to use a different editor, which editor do you guys use?
