Hello,

Unfortunately the cover images are blocked by AdBlock and are therefore not displayed.
In reality I finally understood that it is the name of the folders where the image covers are stored which is the cause.

To fix this it would suffice to rename the following folders :
media/com_easysocial/advertisements/ads/
by this (for example)
media/com_easysocial/banners/cover/

This is logical, the words advertisements and ads obviously being detectable by AdBlock.
Especially since in the Backend, the cover images are also blocked.

I specify that with AdBlock or UdBlock the problem is present. Mozilla or Chrome.

Thank you,
Philippe
Hi Philippe,

From what I checked, the detected word from the path is actually the 'advertisements' word. If this folder is renamed and future images stored on another folder. The cover shows even if the adblock extensions are enabled.

We will see what we can do in the future about this.

Ok thank you Raymond

Ideally I think that it is preferable the two folders, at the same time advertissement and ads words.
Because AdBlock can very well evolve and detect this word "ads".

Hey Philippe,

To be honest, any form of new detection can be added to adblock, so there is no way EasySocial ads can completely avoid detection.

Adblock hiding ad images is normal and not a bug.

Hello,

I confirm, to prevent AdBlock from blocking the image covers of Adverts on the front-end (stream), you must rename the two words.
advertisements and ads.

Renaming only the term advertisements is not enough.
The cover image is still blocked and hidden.

The following example works fine
media/com_easysocial/banners/cover/

Thank you,
Philippe

We had to release an important update in 3.2.6 and 3.2.7 and this isn't added into the core yet as we do not have enough time. We will try to add this into 3.2.8
