Hello,

Now that PayPlans is part of the Stackideas family and it integrates a payment gateway, I would very much like it to be used to create an advertising system.

It would be nice if users could promote their publication and Page in EasySocial or in on all the website with modules.
Like on Facebook !
With the ability to target (location and keywords).

What do you think ?

Thank you
Philippe
Heh, I think this feature requests should be within EasySocial and the advertising system within EasySocial should probably be hooked into PayPlans for payments

Having said that, I certainly love this idea but just wondering if there is any other advertising system like SocialAds that already exists?

Yes indeed, it could be a feature EasySocial and it's PayPlans that would manage payments.

Yes SocialAds and AdAgency allow some things but they are totally outdated.
The era of advertising banners is over.
Today we are in Native Advertising.

However, AdAgency offers an interesting feature: Social Stream Ads.
To display ads on the Social Stream as one of Stream items.
But this function is exclusively reserved for JomSocial

As for SocialAds, it is a low-end, outdated product that no longer suits the current trend.
For finishes and user experience, we are light years away from Stackideas.

I'm very glad you bought PayPlans.
It will save us time.
This is an excellent basis for making an advertising system possible : managing payments.

Then, maybe the Broadcast tool could be a starting point.
With a new type of Broadcast : Broadcast Stream.
Associated with geographical targeting and keywords for example.

There could also be a new tab "Promote this publication" in the EasySocial Stream...

I'm sure Stack has a lot of ideas

Thank you
Philippe

Hm, as far as I know and hear from both Parth and Ashwin, SocialAds actually does in-stream adverts too. Did you manage to check with them? Not too sure about the payments though.

In fact it's a fake in stream ads. They use the position modules.
In addition their ads are blocked by AdBlock !

As you have noticed, we Stackideas customers, we do not like TechJoomla / AppCarvers.

Hm, I see. I didn't know that it uses modules but let me see if there's anything we could do on our end to allow in-stream advertisements creation easily for them.

Check this idea then also for making automation where you can promote your event, pages, groups and then have advertising when users go to that ES event, pages or group etc

I landed here after clicking on the link posted by philipp in the Blog comments.
Well... I do not see any point to be positve or happy... not any step forward in this topic as for now!

@Mark, I do not understand what makes you stand behind Techjoomla like you do since years.
Did Parth or Ashwin saved your life one day ??? This can be the only reason.
I do not understand, sorry, sorry again and again sorry I DO NOT understand -> You let us down since too long, we NEED an alternative solution.
Mark, I know you read your forums and I am sure you read it everywhere, 99% of us do not stand behind Techjoomla. We want something else - QUALITY !
Do we need to start some kind of revolution ?

I am BEGGIN' you, please....

PS:
@ Philippe I like your above ideas, it is a good start.

What we need is an advanced mix of Philippe ideas, Stan Chomer's link, socialads and adagency.

What if we post here under the features we like in each of them to build " our own "...

I also do not understand why you defend TechJoomla as much.
Mark, have you ever tried their applications ?

+1
a inhouse solution is what easysocial needs to monetize our community's
the rest of components is nice on the market but does not fill the gap what is really needed.

What talks for more problem for advertising networks now is that they can not be embed/not browser ad blocked in the site like when you have an inhouse Joomla advertising component.

Great new concept and browsers like Brave that is superfast will create a new nishmarket for many local advertising sites that could avoid prevent blocking that adnetworks not can.

If you have not tested this free open source ( pay users for their ads viewing/clicking) you can check it out here

https://www.brave.com/

ps I am not doing some pr marketing for this browser but its a very good idea and I think this browser will win much ground in future rapidly..

I would like to have EasySocial build their own ads.... I don't want to use other components sometime those components are out of date with EasySocial also...

+1 here.. an Ad system for ES designed and created/coded by StackIdeas will be more accepted by your clients, I guess, at least for me Yes!. +1 here also for not liking TechJoomla's products.

Mark, here's one example of my thoughts about voting for features. I still don't like the idea but it is what it is. Let me ask then, what is your threshold of votes that would encourage you to go ahead and create the feature suggested by your clients?

+1 Indeed this should be managed by Stackides themselves. I do not know TechJoomla and AppCarvers, but I did my research and could not with good thoughts purchase anything with them.

Knowing Stackideas reliability, innovation, dedication and professionalism this should not be any problem for them to make possible. I am more then willing to pay you guys more and knowing I am in good hands.
