Hi,
I have a problem with search and advanced search in easy social:
- I don't find user friend and non friend, group or event, with the button search on the profile bar (see the screenshot 1)
- I have two groups that have a same field "CAMPANIA" (category "FESTIVAL/RASSEGNE/EVENTI", i click this field for search but I have no results (see the screenshot 2).

I have reindexed the smart search so that the results are up to date now. Not really sure why it wasn't indexing but if I perform a search for "Giu", it now shows the result as you can see here, http://screencast.com/t/GDWxv9VNIiJ

As for your events, I am not sure how to reproduce this. Please provide the steps to reproduce this.

All ok with search bar.
For advanced search, when you visit a group, there are fields that can be clicked for setting and are searchable. When I click on a field I do not have the results (a some fields are the same between various groups, for instance, you should find more results if you click the field REGIONE: CAMPANIA in the group SOCIAL WORLD FILM FESTIVAL).

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your issue, by default the advanced search is meant for search users and not group. Meaning to say, you shouldn't see the search link in your group details. I've fixed this issue internally and applied the same fix on your site. The same fix will be added into next release of EasySocial as well

sorry but now in my site the group field is not ricercable instead click and search for field similar to other groups. Sorry if I insist, but to me it is necessary, it is one of the things that made me choose your component compared to other competitor.

I am sorry but currently users can only search EasySocial groups using toolbar search We actually planned to include this group advance search feature in EasySocial 2.0

Hello,
perhaps I was not very clear.
I chose to use your component, instead of JomSocial, because it had this feature (see the screenshots that I enclose, and arising from your demo site); When I open a group, click on a custom field and I should give the result of the search for the other fields share among all groups of the site.
If this does not work, it is NOT A CUSTOMISATION, but a bug on your site that you ask with the utmost urgency to solve.
Otherwise I will have to request a refund of the costs of your component and the time lost.

Thanks for the answer also in weekend. I understand that will be included on the new update but I can not publish the site if I haven't this function, that function is necessary for me (I have chosen your part for that matter).

We cannot provide you the time frame for the next release but I would see sometime this week. Please understand that you purchase the software as is and we have also provided a demo for you to test the features / functionality. Our refund policy does not cover refunds if there are missing features.

Hm, sorry but I don't see how is the component not working as expected? Did you see the advanced search for groups on our demo? Did anyone from our team told you that there is an advanced search for groups in EasySocial?

Before you told me that it was a custom, then you changed your mind and you did you realize the problem and that this would put the work in the next update.

Hey Giuseppe,

That is actually a bug because the custom field in groups shouldn't be doing that and we never advertised that group has advanced search. I am giving you the added benefit that we will be implementing this in the next minor release which is 1.4.4 and not major releases which is much longer so I think you need to give us the benefit of the doubt that this is a bug and we need to fix it
