Hi guys

Hoping you could help.

We need all our users to sign/use a tick box to accept our terms and conditions as they're approved onto the website. However we do not want these terms and conditions to be visible to non-registered users. How do we go about setting up a tick-box users tick once they have read and accepted the terms and conditions?

Let me know if you have any questions.

Kind regards
Katie
Hi there,

Currently, from my understanding, it is only achievable to show those options during registration by adding this fields http://take.ms/mOB0G into your current profile type's workflows.

Please give it a try and see how it goes.

Hi Warith,

We have tried this option, however this means the terms and conditions are visible to non-logged in/approved users which cannot happen as the terms and conditions hold lots of confidential information.

Is there any other way around this? So maybe on the approval email they have to click to a link where they update their profile to agreeing to the terms?

Thanks
Katie

Hi there,

You can show those fields visibility only to be visible during editing their profile only as you can see here http://take.ms/P0NSJ

Please advice.

Hi Warith,

Yes I've seen that option, I ticked it however I couldn't see it on 'editing' my profile.

Could you show me where I can find this?

Thanks
Katie

Hi there,

You can see them here Customs Fields>Worksflow and which user workflows your referring to. If still persisted, it would be best if you can provide us with your backend and FTP access so that we can further check them on your end.

Please advice.

Hi Warith,

Yes, I see that.

I want to know how I can set this so a user can log in and tick the tick box once accepted the terms and conditions. How do I do this? It needs to be in the front end user/registered user area for their own individual profiles.

Many thanks
Katie

Hi there,

Currently, it is not possible to enforce users to tick them actually Best option is to enable this http://take.ms/sLX6K and set this setting http://take.ms/HwbJO.

It will automatic redirect users to complete them first in order to continue using them. Please advice.

Hey there,

Can you please edit your first post at the top and include the following access please?

- Site Admin access (Please ensure that the user has super admin access)

- FTP access (We need this because if we use a file manager in Joomla, there are times where we have a typo and this might eventually break your entire back end and front end for instance if we are editing a system plugin). There is no way to save the site unless we have the ftp access.

Hi there,

Sorry for the delay of this reply. After checking this issues, seems like you disabled it to be shown on edit as you can see here http://take.ms/OCSol.

I have enabled it for you and it should shown as it should now. Please give it a check and see how it goes.

This option doesn't seem to be working when a new user logs in they're not redirected?

Thanks

Hi there,

Are you referring to redirection to edit profile page? If yes, it will redirections if and only if users didnt complete all of those fields in their profiles.

If not, can you provide us with more details so that we can have better understanding. Please advice.

Yes edit profile page.

A new user on first log in should be redirected to edit profile to read the terms and conditions and accept them and complete profile and update and then be able to access the site.

I have just tested this with a new user and this isn't working.

Can you please check this as the site is going live to everyone at 12:00pm GMT!

Please sign up to site using a real email and check please.

Hi there,

Currently, those systems will detect them as complete as there are no Fields during registrations existed on edit profiles. Currently, I have configure this fields http://take.ms/F1Pra to be shown on your profile types and it will redirected as it should.

Please give it a check and see how it goes.

I don't want that field to show, I want it to be based on whether the terms tick box has been ticked!

Many thanks

Hi there,

Currently, it is not possible to achieve this. You need to have those fields on both place(during registration and editing) in order to achieve this.

Thanks for your understanding.

This is strange, as it was working a couple of weeks ago when I tested this.

How do you suggest i do this then as it is a very VITAL part of the site. Users need to be accepted to the site before they can see the terms and conditions so i cannot have the tickbox on registration?

Many thanks
Katie

Hi there,

It might be because you have changed those fields behaviour as from what i remembered, there are only few fields that are required and others are not. So it does redirected as it should because those users not included them during registrations.

The only way to achieve this is to make sure you include those fields during and after registrations. I am not sure what to suggest you currently but maybe you can set those 'Required' field to normal fields. It will be "Required" once you edit them as they must fill them in order to use your site.

Please advice.
