Adding Photo Display

G'day all just got my copy of Easy Social all installed and working on my test site .. Main question I have is can you have it so members can post directly from the front page Stream .. and why do the latest posts go to the bottom of the Stream .. Same as Facebook with users being able to post direct to front page without having to go to their own timeline / dashboard .

Hello Michael,

Happy new year! Sorry but I am not too sure if I understand you here. When your users access the "dashboard" page, they can actually post updates on their stream directly on the page. Am I missing anything here?

Sorry I probably did not explain myself properly .. Yes users can directly add to their Stream.. I have the Module Stream on the front page of the website . You cannot create a new post from there it must be on your own timeline ?

Ah, yes. You can't update it from within a module unfortunately. We will try to see if we can include it into the module as well

This would be a huge plus to Easysocial to make it much closer to Facebook which is so easy for people to update their timeline .

Hi,

The module is only for "viewing" purposes and as such posting should be made on Dashboard.

I'll chime in, the dashboard can't really be made the frontpage, so as a result there is no real way of making the frontpage a place to post status posts. I personally am in no rush for this, but do see how this is problematic for some.

Hi Josh,

Thank you for the heads up on this one. We will see if we can add the story form into the stream module or not but for now, you will have to post your status / story from your dashboard page
