Hi

I am trying to configure Komento to allow any site visitor (registered or unregistered) to post comments directly on the Home page in the Komento module.

Basically I need to replicate the Comments functionality of this site http://www.aquabumps.com/ - look near the bottom of the page under the long column of images.

Can someone help me with the correct settings?

Thanks
Hello Kieran,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Is your home page item an article item? Komento can only add the comments and form if it's on an article page

Thanks for the help Mark.

In that case what kind of solution would you suggest - perhaps I need a blog solution?

I am basically looking to replicate the open posting functionality on http://www.aquabumps.com (below the images near the bottom of the page)

I think perhaps Komento is the wrong solution for what I need?

Thanks again

Hello Kieran,

If you like to do like the http://www.aquabumps.com, you might want to create one article page and set it as your default page (homepage). In that article, you can add a welcome content for your user. Please give it a try.

Hi Nick, if I can PM you my admin details is there a possibility you could go in a set it up correctly for me? I am very confused to be honest . All I want to be able to do is allow open comment posting onto the homepage - comments do not need to be linked to a page or blog post but if they need to be and you can create a 'fake' page somewhere for comments to be posted against thats fine - I just need users to be able to post on the home page.

Thanks for your help.

Hello Kieran,

Hello Kieran,

Sorry for the late reply. I've added one sample page "Comment" which has a comment form. If you want it to be a home page, you can set it as default page. Hope this helps.

Sorry I am still lost? I found an item called Comment in my Main Menu but that is linked to a single article 'Frontpage animations' - making that my home page replaces my entire home page?

Is it clear what I am trying to achieve? Open commenting on the home page?

Thanks a lot

Hello Kieran,

Refer back to the previous post, we stated that, you need to have an article to load the comment, "Komento can only add the comments and form if it's on an article page". And you have mentioned, you can create a 'fake' page somewhere for comments. Therefore, I've made a fake page which pointed to an article so that the comment form can be loaded.

Hello Kieran,

Sorry but I think there's some confusions here. In your home page at http://www.colourocity.com/aquabumps/ , I noticed that only modules are rendered on this page. Unfortunately, there's actually no way to display a comment form within a module currently

Thanks Mark, yes you're right thats what I am trying to achieve.

Are you aware of any modules that do this? Or do you guys develop anything that might work? EasyBlog perhaps?

Thanks

Hello Kieran,

We are sorry but we don't have a module that render Komento comment form. We did have module that display only comments without form. Komento need to be render in an article because it is used to comment on that article.
