Hi,

is there a quick way to add more videos to the video template? i.e. like the ability to duplicate the entire columns and row in the existing template?
I cannot see a copy and paste function but need to include 9 videos in my article, and at the moment there are only 3 video blocks.

Mel

Hello Guys,

Thank for you for the heads up on this. Currently we do not have the functionality too copy the block along with the content inside in the existing template. I will try to forward this suggestion to our developers and see what they could do about it.

Hi Ezrul,

that would be appreciated.

In the meantime, are you able to show us how to create a new block that follows the same layout as an existing one? I have tried numerous times and mine looks all jumbled up:

1. I first select Add Block and drag a video and place it in the box above the current video one
2. I next select a Text block and add it to right of video (then it seems to go wrong as the text goes in the same box as the old video

What are the steps to create a block just like yours?

Hello Mel,

To actually a template like that require you to carefully placing each block and used the block to support each other. You can also know which block easyblog are using in the default template layout as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-07-03_1606.png . The possibilities is limitless and once you get it right, the end result will be beautiful.

Hope these help and have a nice day!

Hi Ezrul,

thanks for that, the penny has dropped. I needed to create a 10 video custom template so here is what I did should anyone else be unsure (not sure if this is best approach but its worked for me.

1. Open new template
2. Click on Add Block then select Column (2 boxes with Enter text here appear)
3. Highlight and delete the left text where it says Enter text here
4. Add Block and select Video then click in the box you deleted the text from
5. Add block and select Header then click on the the next free block above the right side text (not the small boxes either side of the existing text but the one above it)
6. Add Block and select Button then click on the next free box under the the last text box (not the small box either side but the larger one underneath
7. Add Block the select Rule and place it on the next Block outside of the Column block you created (its the full width one)
8. Add more videos as desired
9. Save as new template
