I did some searching in the docs but could not find how I can add a pre-existing Joomla user as an author is EasyBlog.
I do not want it to happen automatically when a new user signs up as a Joomla user.

I tried to add a user in the Author section but when I entered the info including the username the system indicated the user "Username in use".
Hey there,

Actually, you don't need to add an author into EasyBlog. Because EasyBlog user refers/links to the Joomla User Account. Once a user registered for an account, he/she will become an author in EasyBlog automatically as long as he/she has the 'Allowed To Write New Post' right which is at Backend > EasyBlog > ACL > User's Joomla User Group > Compose.

Ah. I guess i needed to go into the ACL and save the setting to bring them into the author! Thanks!
