1. I'm wondering if they are possibly uploaded and if so, how can I add them to the gallery from wherever there are on my site.
-> Unfortunately, for Gallery block is it not possible to browse image from the site currently.

If the blog post doesn't save the image in the gallery that you've save, can you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?
