I have the latest version of EB5 and am having serious problems adding these images.

Cover images just don't add at all. Period. Try, try, try and it appears to upload the image as you can see it in the Media Manager, but it's unselectable and won't insert. Some actual documentation on using this feature would be nice.

Inserting images. This is just as frustrating. NO images will upload using the block manager. All I get is a "Try Again" message. Unfortunately, the post is frozen at that point. No amount of clicking Try Again works, Applying doesn't clear it, I have to close the editor or refresh the page.

The features and concepts behind EB5 are wonderful but the actual use is mega frustrating.
Hey Ian,

What is the size of the image that you are trying to upload? If the image is too huge, the server might be rejecting the file or even having a hard time processing by GD because of the memory_limit. I have just tested this on your site and the post cover uploaded just fine without any issues at all. Take a look at my screen shot attached below

I don't know how you did it. I cannot get it to work even with a tiny image. I am trying to add one to an existing post. I select Add Cover and get the dropdown. Click Add Media and select the image from my computer. I see a screen saying Uploding <filename>... at the bottom (Untitled71.jpg). After about 30 seconds it changes to a different screen that, I assume, is a select media screen (Untitled72.jpg). However, though the cursor changes to the select pointer, I cannot select it.

Now, I can't upload an image either. A very small image - the uploader popup just hangs.

Hey Ian,

Hm, are you rendering the composer from the front end or the back end? I was testing this from the back end. Not sure if there is another plugin causing this. Can you try posting from the back end?

I was trying from the frontend. From the backend, both work fine, so there's an issue with the frontend editing - just what most web designers want workign properly for their customers!

Log into the frontend by scrolling to the bottom of a page and clicking on the IT logo, bottom right of the footer. A slide out at the right allows you to log in.

Hey Ian,

I can't seem to make / apply any changes with the FTP access which you have provided. Can you please advise?

I don't have FTP in Joomla enabled - too dangerous IMO. You will need to use something like Filezilla.

Hi Ian,

Yes we are referring to FTP access via Filezilla.

Try these details (UN and PW are the same, but I've given you the host IP instead)

Ummmmmm??? Anyone looking at this? I have a very unhappy client right now. Would really like an answer.

Speaking of which, why do I never get a notification of your replies in my email?

Hey Ian,

I am really sorry, we might have missed your post earlier as we are overwhelmed with the release of EasySocial 1.4. It seems like this issue is caused by your plugin AdminTools. As soon as I turned the plugin off, the upload works fine. Can you give this a try again now?

I don't quite know what you did, but my site is not working properly now. I saw that you renamed 2 plugin folders. However, after naming them back to what they were originally, I cannot get {loadposition} to work (actually it wasn't working after your change), I can't get the login module to display - the site is really damaged.

Yes, I can add a cover image, but the site is broken. Please reverse what you did - the client is even more unhappy now.

Hey Ian,

I actually renamed the folder but renamed it back to the original folder name as I was trying to check which plugin is causing the image upload to fail. I tried to ftp in and see that the folders are already correctly named. Where can I see the {loadposition} issue?

Sorry. It may have been a cache thing. I just came back to it and it seems to be working now. My apologies.
