Hey team,

I have just encountered an issue related to moods. If you try to set a custom feeling for your story item, right after typing it to the input field, and adding some status update text, the whole procedure ends up in failure.
The status update's text gets posted to the Stream without any problem, but the mood is still missing. All in all, it looks like if you would have only posted a normal story text.

FYI, I am talking about the moods when you manually define your own feelings (start typing a completely new one), and not the predifined ones (can be chosen from the list) with any own additions.

Hope this helps. If you need further assistance, let me know.
Many thanks for your help.

Regards,
Attila L.
Thanks for the heads up on this Attila, it is indeed a translation bug! Fixed it on your site and it should work fine now

Hello Attilla,

Sorry but not sure if I get you here. Mind posting a short video to demonstrate about this issue?

Hello Mark,

Sorry for this late reply, there's a national holiday here, and I just checked my mailbox and saw you answered this thread.
Yeaah, no problem at all. In the following video, you will see that i wrote an entirely custom mood "message", and then, I added a story text. The story text got published, but the mood text wasn't. Please see here: http://screencast.com/t/0THTC2G8CF

If you use the predefined moods + you complement it, for example: "feeling happy because I did it..." it just works fine.
Hope i was able to explain it what I am implying to Let me know if you need further information, I will be beyond happy to help you.

Many thanks for your contribution.

Okay, found the issue. Download the attached file and upload it into /administrator/components/com_easysocial/tables/ and overwrite the story.php file

Thanks for the update on this, Mark. Well, I followed your steps, (uploaded the file, even clear the cache & also log out and log in for the first time just to make sure, etc), then did it again for making a screencast video, so really did my best, but it seems like there's no sharp difference. http://screencast.com/t/4bWSyaLPJsLP Could you please check my end by yourself as well? Site details are provided. Really appreciate your help. Thank you in advance!!

Hi,

Sorry about that. Mark actually gave you the wrong file to patch.

The correct file to patch is actually /administrator/components/com_easysocial/tables/mood.php

Hey guys,

Thanks for you both taking your time to investigate this issue and providing the fix. The above-mentioned problem disappeared, so you can add an entirely custom mood.

Although, I also discovered an issue with the latest patch. It seems like the predifined mood strings do not follow the default language settings. Let me elaborate it.
If you add just a predefined mood from the list, (in my case it is translated in Hungarian, as that's the default language of the site), when you share it, the part comes after the hyphen, will turn into English. Please see here: http://screencast.com/t/ZjCTEqUjKE8e

On the other hand, if you select a predefined mood from the list + write a custom message of yours to it, works in the right way. Check this out please: http://screencast.com/t/krJfrh93ZTJ
Let me know if you have any solutions.
Many thanks for your time and patience!

@Mark: Again, thank you

@LAC Infosys: I guess the patch will be available in the next release, in 1.2.10. But the guys at Stackideas will tell it to you for sure.

Yep it will be fixed in 1.2.10 but if you don't use a different language it's fine. Anyway, please find the mood's patch below. You just need to upload it into /administrator/components/com_easysocial/tables/
