May i know what editor you using now? Because when you insert image into blog content through Tiny-mce or Jce Editor, they will allow you to add the alt tag in the image.

By the way, If you using Easyblog build-in composer, currently we do not have a option to add alt and title into image yet.

You can setting the truncation by:
1. Click EasyBlog>Settings>Layout http://screencast.com/t/ymv8Foblfy
2. Click EasyBlog>Settings>Listing>Show Post Image -YES

Or you can add post cover in your blog post

If yes, unfortunately, there is no setting to show image thumbnails in the categories listing currently
