Hi Stack Ideas,

2 things ....

Please help me understand where to add in a required part to the pay plans subscription whereby ea paying member pays an initial introductory one-time fee. This is a required part not an addon. You can go to the site and see the front where I have them listed and the bottom of ea shows the intro fee info..... Just need to make it mandatory.

And, then if they upgrade, we want to apply what they've already paid in intro fees from previous level to the next level's intro fee.

Here is our sandbox: https://50.28.37.1/~circleofbeautifu/apply-for-membership

Thank you!
Deidre
Hey Deidre,

Currently in PayPlans there is no feature to add Setup fees in plan.

This is a required part not an addon

It seems you are talking about plan addon. You can use plan addon for setup fees. You can make Addon to default, so user will not able to remove this addon from checkout page.
https://stackideas.com/docs/payplans/administrators/plans/plan-addons

And, then if they upgrade, we want to apply what they've already paid in intro fees from previous level to the next level's intro fee.
i didn't get you quiet here. Can you elaborate more on this, so i'll be able to assist you.

update us with response.

Thank you we have the 1st part complete in this.

Re the second part of my request ....

If a paying bronze member, who pays the initial 59 euro joining fee, then wants to upgrade to the silver subscription level, we would then like their 59 euro joining fee they already paid, be then applied to the 399 euro joining fee for the silver level. for example. Is it possible to do this?

Do you mean That 59 euro , you already paid for joining fee, when they upgrade to silver plan then 59 euro also include as setup fees ?

If i misunderstood, please explain in detail with example.

Thank you for understanding !

Here is an example ....

BRONZE SUBSCRIPTION SIGN UP FEE 59 EUR
SILVER SUBSCRIPTION SIGN UP FEE 339 EUR

Bronze upgrade to Silver would only cost 280 EUR for the Silver one-time upgraded sign up fee

How do I do that in the Upgrade section?

Thank you for explanation on this. But currently it's not possible to charge the setup fee on upgrade as per your need.

Let me know if you have any query.

Hmm, no if then's. Well, what about an alternative payment option. or a discount? Can we provide a discount offer to members who want to upgrade from plan to plan? would that work and if so how would I set that up?

Hey,

You can use discount coupon for Upgrade only.
Using upgrade discount coupon, it will applicable only on upgrade.
Refer this link : https://stackideas.com/docs/payplans/administrators/discounts-and-referrals/discounts

You need to create discount coupon type "when Upgrading". Please try this solution and see how it goes for you.

Ok here is what is happening maybe you can help get this sorted ... (totally separate issue from discounts)

MEMBERSHIPS:

BASIC = FREE
BRONZE = 22.50 / MONTH (59.00 INTRO FEE)
SILVER = 375.00 / MONTH (399.00 INTRO FEE)
GOLD = 650.00 / MONTH (499.00 INTRO FEE)

When basic upgrades to bronze there is no problem
When bronze upgrades to silver there is an automatic adjustment of the 22.50 deducted off the silver level membership
When bronze upgrades to gold there is an automatic adjustment of the 22.50 deducted off the silver level membership
When silver upgrades to gold automatic adjustment of the 375 PLUS THEN the 22.50 deducted off the gold level membership

How do I get the system NOT to deduct what the person previously paid for in the past subscription from applying to any upgrade?

Re the upgrade discounts ...

When basic upgrades to bronze no problem
When bronze upgrades to silver no problem with discount of 59 applied to initial payment
When bronze upgrades to gold there IS a problem, the discount of Silver to Gold is used in the system .... How do I set the discount from Bronze to Gold properly?

Thank you for your help.

Hey Deidre,

I am really sorry for the delayed response.

How do I get the system NOT to deduct what the person previously paid for in the past subscription from applying to any upgrade?

when plan upgrade then upgraded plan price will be deduct the previous plan uses time. Like if you upgrade after 1 day from purchase, so you used plan for a day for this one day price will be deducted from existing price and calculate the price accordingly.

The calculation of unutilized amount and tax will be calculated from previous plan price and tax value.

When user upgrade his plan to another plan , then Unused amount calculated as per the plan used time from the expiration time and price of plan which will be upgraded.
For example Your plan is for 1 month and price $30 , so when you upgrade your plan after 2 days then So, it will calculated the amount of 1 day and then check how many days subscription used then deduct the amount and tax value accordingly in upgraded plan.

When bronze upgrades to gold there IS a problem, the discount of Silver to Gold is used in the system .... How do I set the discount from Bronze to Gold properly?

I didn't get quiet here. Can you elaborate in more what you mean exactly, so i'll be able to assist you.

Thank you for understanding !
