Hi!

I'm trying to solve a problem that I have with Easyblog.

When trying to add a new blog entry, I've got a blank page both in frontend and backend.
First of all I wanted to update the easyblog version, and picked the API-key from the dashboard.
But the updater says it's a faulty code. So I can't update.

A little googleing gives that there might be a conflict since I'm not using tinymce as editor.
It's still installed and activated, but not default on my site. Didn't help to set it as default either..

Please advice..

/ Emil
Hello Emil,

Upgrading from EasyBlog 3.8.x or older to 3.9.x requires a full uninstall / installation. The reason is because there are some core files which were modified in this release and running the updater would actually break things.

Rest assured that your data would not get erased when you perform an uninstall. Theme files and other core files would however get erased, so if you have made any modifications, it's best to make a backup of the modifications first.

We can do the upgrade but we need your confirmation about any customization you have done to your Easyblog files since these files will be replaced during upgrading. Please advise.

What about language? I think thats the only modification. All stylingmodification is done in the template for Joomla.
So no data would be lost, like post and categories and so on?

Hello Emil,

I tried to access your site and it looks like the problem seems to be coming from the "Editor - ArtofEditor". After changing EasyBlog to use the TINYMCE editor, it seems to work fine now

But where do You find that setting?

Do I have to have Tinymce for the whole site? I've got some special tweaks there..

Hello Emil,

The settings can be found in the back end settings of EasyBlog under the Layout tab

Hello Emil,

Sure, why not I have upgraded EasyBlog for you to the latest version. I have also fixed the tmp path that was defined in your Joomla Global Configuration because the correct path should actually be:

/pub/www/sff.se/www2/tmp/easyblog

It was set to the following previously, which was why most installation are failing for your site.

/pub/www/sff.se/www/tmp
